New Engine 682 Progress

In early 2022, the Seaford Fire Department will be receiving a new Rosenbauer fire engine (682).  This unit will replace a 1998 Pierce fie engine.  The new fire engine is currently being built at the Rosenbauer plant in Minnesota.  This past week, the chassis was completed and the cab was mounted to the new chassis.  In the near future, the pump and pump panel will be installed.  After that, the rear body will be fabricated and installed onto the chassis.  The apparatus committee has been working on the specifications of the new unit for over 2 years.  This new fire engine will likely serve the residents of the Seaford Fire District for the next 25 years.  Stay tuned for further pictures and updates on the build progress.
