On Saturday, April 23rd at 1214 Hrs. the Seaford Fire Department was alerted for a rollover MVA with  entrapment with a fire, Northbound on Rt. 135 near Exit 3.  Chief Keith Kern(6801) arrived and found an overturned pickup truck on fire.  All three of the occupants had self extricated.  Engines 681 and 682, Ambulance 685 and Heavy Rescue 687 operated at the scene under the command of Chief Tom deHaan (6800).  After the fire was extinguished, it was discovered that the nearly full gas tank had a large hole in it from the fire.  The Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Hazardous Materials team responded.  Seaford units stood by while the remaining gasoline was off-loaded.
