Busy Saturday for the SFD

Saturday was a busy day for our members. The departments Drill Team, the Seaford Inmates started off running in the Baldwin Invitational, taking second place.  Shortly after returning to HQ, Engine 682 responded on a mutual aid to the North Bellmore FD and stood by at their headquarters while they operated at a working fire.  Shortly after returning from North Bellmore, the department was again alerted for a mutual aid, this time to the Wantagh Fire Department.  Engine 682, under the command of Lt. PJ Lochner, responded to Cedar Creek Park where firefighters battled a large fire in multiple Nassau County NICE busses that had extended into a brush area.  It should be noted that all of the members who responded to both calls, with the exception of the engine chauffer, Ex-Chief Paul Lochner, are members of the Inmates Drill Team.  Photos from k2mphotography.com
